"COWBOYS DON'T CRY"

Does'nt that sound familiar? However, that statement has at no time in the past, been further from the truth, than right now! It is a scientific fact, that "crying" releases pent up emotions that would othewise have lead to very far reaching medical and psychological conditions. Are you at such a point in your life?Do you just feel like letting go? Well, just go ahead, and let go.Shout if you feel the need,or simply cry....I have been there and believe me when i tell you, it is life changing. Today's thought: "Find every thing in your life that you are grateful for and write them down.Visit the entries daily, add to them and soon the good stuff will increase.Best wishes,Andy H.

"Surender Rather Than Resisting"

You can create real moments in difficult times
by surrendering to your "pain",rather than
resisting it.You can't stop the waves,but you
can learn to "surf".
Move deeper into the crisis, rather than
away from it.
"TO TEACH OUR ROOTS"

The wind blows strong and hard on the
tender young trees, not to harm them,
but to teach their roots to hold
firmly to the ground.

Note: Likewise,the winds of change
in our lives, are sent to strengthen, not to destroy life.

"DON'T BE SORRY FOR YOURSELF"! One summer, many years ago on the island of Jersey on a cliff overlooking the harbour,I came upon an old moss covered bench,a long time ago, when Victor Hugo was in exile, ill, persecuted by his beloved France. It was here that he climbed every evening and, gazing into the setting sun in meditation,at the end of which he would rise, selecting a pebble of varying size-sometimes small,at other times large-he would cast it with satisfaction into the water far below. This action did not escape the notice of some children playing nearby. One evening a little girl asked him:"Monsieur Hugo, why do throw the stones into the water?"The great writer was silent;then he smiled gravely."Not stones,my child.I am throwing self-pity into the sea.Herein lies a powerful lesson for the world of today. So many of us,despite our many advantages have developed an inordinate degree of feeling sorry for ourselves, ever alert to find cause for personal grievance in the working of our lives. We dwell on the negative in our lives. The danger of such thinking may be found in the words of Seneca."In thoughts of self-commiseration,will deteriorate and with this, will grow an indifference towards all people"..
